This clip explains why monopoly's outcome is allocatively inefficient. As the price is greater than MC, there're always consumers whose WTP is lower than the price but higher than the MC. These consumers would buy the product under perfect competition, but won't get a product under monopoly, thereby causing allocative inefficiency.
