I use many shapes in my playing. I wanted to get away from thinking in scales. Thinking in shapes works for me much better. I really enjoy your lessons. I will be trying these ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Can be applied to pentatonic scales, with a pattern of two notes per string and three notes on the higher or lower string. It repeats at a minor third distance but the string where you played two notes you have to play three and viceversa. Instant pentatonic on the whole neck.
