Bought this for under $500 new on Amazon. Can't wait to try it out.

How would you compare the Hover-1 Journey Max to the Hover-1 Renegade? The Renegade has Dual 450W Motors (so I would think it would be even better for hills, which is crucial for me). The Renegade can be bought for allot less than the Journey Max ($303-$400 range). Appreciate your thoughts as I'm trying to decide which one to buy.

Hover destroyed the competition IMO. If I were in the market for a cheap last-mile commuter scooter this would be it, hands down. Dual motors is essential if you want to handle any kind of hill at all. It's underpowered, but that's to be expected on a cheap last-mile commuter.

I have had this scooter since I seen the unboxing, and I have to say i love it I slime the tires and I'm all ready to go. Thanks for the review. Good scooter for the budget. $500-480 Amazon!

I just bought it, hill climbing is a bit tough with the Hiboy S2. Although I do have worries about the braking since I see the reviews as well as posts on forums complaining about it. How'd you over come that obstacle, or is it just people's inexperience? I've seen your tips videos and I'm assuming that moving your center of mass would remedy the issue.

With the updated version in mind, this looks pretty legit 👍💯
(Def would only consider that updated version though.) Great review, thanks.

This is quickly becoming one of my favourite YouTube channels. To cold to ride here in Canada, dreaming about which scooter I will upgrade to in the spring. Probably an Apollo city pro.

Would like to see you review the Hover-1 Renegade which looks very similar but has a claimed 900w dual motor with a 54V/11.6Ah (626 Wh) battery vs the 36V/13.2Ah (475 Wh) on the Journey Max. The Renegade is currently on sale for less than the Journey Max on the Hover website. Difference in weight between the two scooters is only 1.53 lbs.

My friends got the Laotie Ti30 on sale from banggood for $750 shipped from USA. The deal isn't active anymore as they don't sell them for that cheap, but it's a great deal if you know how to keep up your scooter.

Could you please tell me the dech width of this scooter? I'd also like to know the deck width of the Journey 2.0 I cant seem to find the specs anywhere. Thank you!

So I’m planning to buy this scooter. Your review on this was pretty helpful as always:) .But I’m a bit confused on few things
1): is there any way to know the batch version ? Should I just mail hover team and ask ? My friend got this like 2 weeks ago and it didn’t seem to have zero start.
2) is the breaking system a concern or rather, an inconvenience? Does the new batch solves this ?
3)pneumatic tires - this is a bit general question but the what stuff do I need to invest into to maintain the pneumatic tires ? Do I need a pump and a psi checker ? How often would I need to check the tire pressure, is it okay if I would not do it for like a month or 2 and just go to a nearby cycle shop?
4) is there an updated review coming?
Lastly I appreciate you making this videos, thanks :)

Love the review. I've been on mine for a few months now. One thing is not here in the review or website and wrong on the amazon link and missing from the Hover-1 website. It weighs much more than the claimed 31 lbs. It is a 44.8 lb scooter still good range, speed, and specs for the price. But it is a lot heavier than I was expecting to lug up 5 stories worth of stairs, still doable though.

How do I determine if my journey max is the updated version with the fix for brake and cruise control ?

How would the hill capability compare with a Ninebot Pro Plus ? Looking to understand if a 800 w rear wheel can get same hill climb results as a dual motor 800 watt.

How would this compare to the Inmotion Climber? Perhaps the Journey Max would offer better value? I'm in Australia so it's a little difficult to compare pricing. Great video. Thanks.

The IP rating is none existent. The manual says to avoid moisture. That's terrible!
