This Groove was equally popular in the Black community. In fact, it may have been even more popular with Blacks. Every Soul and R&B radio channel played this awesome hit back in 76 through 78, for two years. A lot of Urban stations still rock it now. You go Boz, this was the Joint! Massive Soul groove.
