Skeeter owner here. Love my bug but also really like the Phoenix. Can't go wrong with either

As a new Skeeter owner I love my FXR21. Phoenix is a great looking boat but I’ve always admired the Skeeter. The SHO is a beast of an engine. Owned a Ranger before this and have not looked back.

I owned a 2013 Skeeter FX20. I was in the market for a new boat and was seriously considering a Phoenix. The problem I had with the Phoenix was the lack of leg room in the console area. I was concerned that if I got in rough water, I would be banging my shins on the underside of the console. Otherwise they appeared to be nice boats, but that was a deal breaker for me. I ended up buying a Skeeter FXR20 and so far I have been happy with it.

Great video, own a Phoenix but a huge fan of both brands! Draft and Dead Rise are two important features you should also consider when purchasing a bass boat. This will dictate rough water ride and shallow water fishing.

I’ve owed several of both brands. Sold my phoenix because of chine walking. Going back with skeeter or bass cat. I think lol

Excellent job! Under warranty would have liked to see the items limited to "One Year". These items typically draw the complaints. Great job on taking the time to break these boats down!

Really like the consoles on the skeeters, lots of cool features! Having said that... I run a phoenix

Great knowledgeable video from Foothills Marine. Narrated by a very good presentation and presenter. Both boats are ‘state of the art’ in boat manufacturing without question. However the reality is this: does it really require this much FLUFF to catch bass or is the EGO of a person so large that being seen in a rig like this push boundaries of superiority complex? It is truly amazing as a person matures and begins to realize that you don’t have to invest this much of your hard work into the pure enjoyment of going fishing! Many question the prices of bass boats which seem to have skyrocketed over the past 20 years but reality is, product demand plus desire to purchase drives the market. Right now, the market is flooded and dealer inventories are heavy. Used boats are still in demand if you can find one that’s been taken care of or buy one to restore. Consumers have choices, make sure you don’t let the decision be ego driven.

I have owned both and a Vexus. I now own a Phoenix.
Unlimited color combos. Electronics of your choice. Power of your choice. Arguably a better built boat that doesn’t porpoise at lower speeds. Best customer service as well. Oh, and priced slightly less than a comparable Skeeter.

Skeeter whole boat package is better priced . Phoenix boats just don't have the same package deal and their overall cost on the boat is higher as well. Skeeter for the win.

Skeeter will never go out of business. Nitro and tracker are the only other brands that will always be in business as well. Phoenix and basscat as well as any other family owned will always eventually go under. Look at champion. Charger. And all the others have went under. Yamaha and Johnny morris will always have skeeter and nitro.

Phoenix easy winner. Better ride, more speed, better handling, and just a better looking boat

Nice video. But if you cover all bass boats. What boat under 20ft is the smoothest ride for a disabled person

basscat and ikon at the top of the quality market-- these 2 are second tier

You should have mentioned how each boat rides. From someone who has first hand knowledge on both Skeeter and Phoenix there’s NO Comparison…The Phoenix bass boat is the smoothest and most comfortable ride. If you want performance and best ride choose Phoenix!!

Both great boats with crappy trailers. Expect to make many repairs to the trailers. BassCat is the best overall “affordable” boat on the market.

Who cares. Can’t afford either one of them.

Had both. Skeeter is a rough ride and phoenix spear waves.
