Union Minister Nitin Gadkari criticised the Punjab government over the harassment of officials and contractors involved in highway projects. He raised concerns about the security and law and order in the state. Projects worth Rs 3,263 crores were previously halted, and further projects worth Rs 14,288 crores are at risk. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has faced protests and incidents in Ludhiana and Jalandhar. A meeting with the Punjab PWD Minister did not resolve the issues, and the situation has reportedly worsened. #nitingadkari #punjabgovt #highwayprojects #protests #nhai #indiatoday #newsat9
