I would say the number one thing that sucks is dealing with people who know nothing about cars, don't do the proper maintenance on their cars, and then expect you to fix everything for pennies on the dollar.

Getting to that hidden bolt you cant see, that only has 1/2" clearence, and you can only crank it 1/4" at a time... oh ya.... its also always 2" long... 😩

I've tried working as a mechanic for 1 day - they made me change the shoes on rusty drum brakes of a 30 year old Lada. I eventually did after 3 hours of hammering, a gallon of WD40, sweating and cursing so I quietly went back in the office and never pushed the mechanics downstairs ever again.

Worked on cars my whole life, from bmw, mercedes, vw dealerships to my own shop.

Got injured on the job, been disabled since. Still love it, people still come to me for advice and help. I show them how to fix their cars with my tools. Feels great helping others even though I can't grind it out like before.

Currently restoring my 69 convertible Deville, once a mechanic always a mechanic! Lol

mechanic for dealership is the worst like it never wants to pay Especially warranty, they don't supply tools WTF. most frustrating thing "oh ever since you changed my oil now my A/C dont work."

My right hand gets Carpal Tunnel also, but only if I do excessive "strong" work or hold my hand in a certain position too long. I hate the numbness/tingling. Had it starting in my late teens. Great video!

You forgot one extremely important thing about being a car mechanic: *Getting underpaid and overworked if you work at the dealer or at a budget repairshop* That's why I study Automotive Engineering. Love wrenching on cars but those wages are just too low. Got bills to pay.
