I can’t stress enough how much I love this game and I’m an adult! The movie references are hilarious! Shawshank Redemption 😂😂😂 the Matrix and many many more insane scenes !! Love it!!

Got it three times already. WiiU, PS4 and finally Switch.
Thats how good this game is.
Personal passtime: Put horses into trailers and drive em around.

The Switch version has what the other re-released ports don't: portability! That's why it's worth getting on the Switch for that reason alone! I wish they would make a sequel that would incorporate the other Lego City subthemes released since this game's launch, as well as story implemented multiplayer with another cop character like Grace or something.


Also I think the addition of voice acting works well for this kind of Lego game. I know people say the games were better silent, but I think adding voice acting has helped with the humor and character development of these games. That is, except for movie tie-in games with pre-recorded dialogue that takes you out of the immersion, especially if the recording is of poor quality. I'm looking at you Lego Jurassic World!

Excellent review, very informative and gave me all the info I wanted to hear about the Switch version differences. I originally owned this title on the WIi U but didn't keep it for long, I'm happy they rereleased it so I may pick it up for the Switch when it drops a little in price! Just got it for $8.45 on Nintendo Switch July 25, 2020. It's on sale for like $8.99 and I had some credits. This has been on my wishlist for a long time and its been on sale on the time buts this is the cheapest I've seen it.

Stop waiting and just buy the game guys... it's really fun if you like story based games and collectathons. I waited too long to play this gem. One tip: drive with the d-pad! Haha
