Right on. Thanks, Ryan! You rock. Figured out that the switch underneath the stereo deck itself had to be switched into backwards position to take it out of safety mode before grounding the emergency break, but from there forwards, your directions were golden. Grateful to you forever now. Lol.

Tip!!! When I had this unit installed I made sure to include an override switch so that I can watch DVDs while the cars in Drive. All I had to do was flip the override switch to get the bluetooth icon to reappear!
