Now that the Seiko SKX is officially discontinued, to be replaced with a Seiko 5 line next month, it will be interesting to track its price changes, if any, over the coming year.

skx is like (wait for it) vw beetle. therevare literally millions of them, but they are so nice unique and reliable.

There are different types though A, B etc., that might in the future make a difference, even now they are still are sold second hand at around the mrp in good nick

Seiko SKX = the most overvalued watch ever, non-winding, non-hackable, and Seiko can't even align the markers consistently, are you kidding me? You can get better watches for about the same price, like Orient divers' watches.

Frederico I've been meaning to ask you this for years. What about if people keep buying skxs and modding them. Don't you think that will increase the value of all original skx's?

The a Lange 1815 annual is a manual vs the automatic patek 5146. Wouldn’t you go with the patek just for that? And the a Lange retails for the same price?

I may be wrong, Frederico, but I am really sure that the main character's car on Cruel Intentions was a Jaguar Xk120 or 140, not the Porsche 356...both cool cars though... Love your videos. Excellent work. Regards

I hope Seiko puts the SKX on a train track. In fact, I hope Seiko forgets to step aside when the train arrives. It is a company with one of the sleaziest business practices on the planet. Release Monster 4R 2nd gen, starts selling well, discontinue, release the same in PVD, charge triple. ROFL. This repeats over other product lines. SKX is crude and feels as cheap as a trinket from a cereal box. I bought it once, looked at it, decided it was the worst $200 I ever spent, and sold it a week later.

I was seriously considering getting the SKX as my daily workhorse while holding down reasonable specs for its value and price. But obviously these super-geniuses at Seiko had to mess it up.

Anyways, Federico, now I beg you to do like a post legacy SKX top-5 or 10 comparable alternatives that does NOT include any other Seiko. There’s no way I’m faulking over wayyy more money for another Seiko that been cheapen with less specs than the legacy SKX. They pretty much are further cheating us and we won’t be played!
