My welding instructor would have us watch him weld in what ever position we were being granted on and I made sure to pay attention to his hand placement and position. Was very helpful I passed every weld with a 89%or better.

I haven’t figured out how to feed reliably without the tip of the filler having excessive movement. With steel, you want to keep the tip in the gas so it doesn’t oxidize, but keeping it that close with the extra movement ends up touching the tungsten or otherwise not being exact in where the next puddle forms.
I probably need to just practice advancing the filler steadily without using the welder.

Comfort is the key. Ofcourse there is a lot of uncomfortable welds to lay. Comfort makes all the diffrance.

Have you got any advice for trying to control a 1/16” wire? I kept having the problem at school earlier where i just couldnt get the filler where i wanted it to go. Just kept bouncing it around all over the place
