The most surprising one to me was actually the Statue of David. I’ve never seen photos of anything next to it for context, so I always thought it was approximately life-size.

As a Hindu, I wish a grand Buddha statue be erected in India too, in Bodh Gaya, Sarnath, Sanchi or Lumbini, any site that is associated with Lord Buddha should be part of our glorious Indian cultural heritage.
