From AUKUS to new trilaterals, the Asia-Pacific’s connective security architecture is diversifying as countries seek to find new partners that are ready, willing, and able to collaborate. These new arrangements sit alongside broader and more established cooperative security mechanisms built around ASEAN. This session explored how these arrangements should be further developed in the Asia-Pacific, despite multiple sources of tension and divergent perspectives on how best to manage the current security environment.
