Its amazing to look at how John Williams composes a melody like this. It appears so simple, goes from the 5 to the 1, a bold start, then moves to the 2 on the next down beat, adds a slight trill right before the bar ends to give the melody energy to move to the next section, and lands on the minor 3. Just 5 beats to go from the root to the minor 3rd, it should be so simple, but he does it in such a compelling way.
Its the finesse and simplicity combined that makes this melody work so well.

Would love to see a video breaking down just this one part.

That was the most clear sound I have ever heard, that was really saucy. I can play it on a lower octave on French Horn but I can’t make it that clear when it’s on the lower!
