Tbh I like friendships or bonds as strong as this, Luffys emotional intelligence is so high that he can easily see through Sanji's high class act, like saying stuff like he was a low class pirate and stuff, even though it hurt he knew deep down maybe or truly those weren't honest words from Sanji. He even had to tell him himself that no matter how much he kicked him he was hurting himself more than he was hurting Luffy, it is true in a sense, cause all Sanji is doing is hurting his own captain, his own friend, and it hurts him deep down for obvious reasons plus he has to leave the crew he's always thought of as family to those who didn't exactly do him good as a child(not reiju she's nice but had to pretend). Luffy is extremely loyal to his friends which is what makes him a really great friend, you will not only be protected but have someone by your side who is genuine and honest and will come for you no matter how far you go or how far you've been taken by someone else, to have someone who understands you easily and will try their best to help. Even though it's sad I really do like the part where Luffy said he'd wait for Sanji and wouldn't eat anything else, and I'm pretty sure there was a part where it was raining and I think the rain was maple syrup or something, and he didn't want to consume anything, not even a drop of it, it might be something more than what I'm about to say but it shows that Luffy doesn't want another cook and is fine with the one he has now, he is determined to get Sanji back and will remain in that one spot until he decides to come back on his own, rather than forcing him or pleading he gave him his own choice to come back, I know there is more that I'm missing but I'm mainly explaining what I remember. In a way I want to be that loyal and I want to be as positive as that, this arc was really good and when I first saw it I really did think we weren't getting Sanji back at all
(Edit:when Luffy said he couldn't be king of the pirates without Sanji he was also conveying or just straight up telling him that he genuinely needed him by his side, so without him he couldn't become the Pirate King nor build the dream he always wanted, I kinda imagine it as like all the times he says he wants a world where his friends can eat as much as they want and he doesn't wanna live that dream without him. And also he couldve easily fought back but he simply wanted to talk to Sanji and iguess in a way he knew violence wasnt the way to get Sanji back, and either way he knew Sanii was only getting himself hurt emotionally more than Luffy was physically)

This scene hit me the most and brings out the nostalgia of my irl. It's so relatable! When I was in highschool, one of my best friends made friends with some seniors. They took his savings as a part of necessaity for him to hang out with the big boys and said they will give him back after 5 days. They also said they will be checking if he is worthy of being with them, if yes he can get his money back and if not, they will never return it. However, after taking his savings they started making him to do their odd jobs unlike making him their friends as promised. They made him carry their bags to their classes after stepping in school so they can enjoy their games at play ground, made him fetch the water in their water bottles and even asked him to do their homework despite him being their junior. He started getting upset and I stood up for him. I approached him and he said I'm not welcome in his matters. I kept saying I'm not turning back against helping him and he started hitting me repeatedly. My nose started bleeding but I knew he was disturbed, needed help and was doing it against his well and not appreciating hitting me as well. Seeing me so persistent he cried and apologised. He then told me the reason of his savings. And I called out for backup and we outnumbered them after school and kicked their asses. They had no other option but to return his savings. They had already some of it and we together contributed and gave his remaining amount to him the other day.
