Was in the market for a new Bluetooth speaker. Was going to go with Marshall but was way out of my budget. I figured you’d have to pay to get that good sound quality. Happy I came across this video. Ended up buying the soundcore for $80 and it’s exactly what I wanted. Great sound deep bass, clear with the EQ settings volume all the way up. Great vid thanks!

Older video but I’d like to mention that for the last 8 years or so I’ve used poweramp on my android and it’s by far the best eq you can have (at least on mobile) as it actually boosts audio without distortion if you have your dvc volume correct and not only does it have a good eq but the dedicated bass/treble sliders are highly functional and add much more sub bass and sparkling highs to audio.

I chose and ordered a motion boom, it is almost 3 times cheaper than the extreme 3, and the sound is not much worse. I don't really like the look, but the sound is soft and spacious, the boom is lighter, a comfortable handle for carrying. grab this music playback from a flash drive. And if there was still color music, then this column would be out of competition. I will wait for delivery to Russia for a month and a half, but it's worth it.

i have jbl xtreme 3 and i wasnt dissapointed the speaker is crazy loud and with the new EQ you can have even more bass the sound is very clear too i think its the best outdoor speaker for me

Great review! I picked up a Boom for $69. With a little EQ is sounds great! Killer battery, able to charge other devices and waterproofing. A steal IMO!

XTREME 3 has technically better sound I think, however not so great that it's worth the price. The Motion Boom has nearly unbeatable value of quality versus cost.

JBL flat-out has a better sound profile than the Soundcore but for so much more money. My thinking is that Anker needs to deliver a premium product at a better price. If JBL is $350 Soundcore should try to delivery a comparable product at $150-$170. If I could get similar clarity with strong bass and a decent battery, sold. I owned the first-gen Xtreme and it sounded so good but the bass was definitely contained to avoid distortion. I think the Xtreme 3 made some improvements but it's not worth $350. JBL definitely compressed their sound profile and drops low end as you scale up in volume to preserve overall quality/clarity - something that irritates me. I'd take 10% less volume output if it meant I could keep an overall sturdy sound profile.

I owned the Souncore Motion+ and it was just "OK" for its price. The Motion Boom might be worth it though. My only issue is that the Soundcore definitely doesn't project higher EQ frequencies that well. It's very mid-frequency driven and barely enters into high-mids before the EQ rolls off. Seems they focused more on low end integrity.
