My kitchen is lit up by an old T12 4ft 40watt florescent tube with a colour temperature of 30`k that is warm white & the small room behind it which has the washing machine & laundry is lit up by a T12 2ft 20watt tube with a colour temp of 35`k which is white at night times it looks a little strange when going to & from those rooms but I love it

I don’t think so lol! you have no idea how bright sodium lamps can be they look dim when there first switched on but after 5 mins it will keep you awake all night long they get bloody bright just like the setting sun in darn & evening The best lamps for night lights are neon bulbs

You can also run a 50watt Mercury Vapour Lamp on that fixture plus if you want to get rid of the yellowing on that plastic light cover try using brasso or known as brass polish its removes all the yellowing

lol, i was just sarcastic. of course i know that a HPS bulb will give lots of light. I dont have a night light. but i do have a little 5 watt light in the kitchen which is motion activated.

if im correct that 85w tube must be 6ft long because the 5ft were either 80w or 65w
