Byzantine History in 63 Minutes:

This video is basically my own personal ranking list of my top 10 worst Byzantine emperors from my 10th worst to absolute worst. Please keep in mind that the info here is based on my OWN opinions. Now, from the 4th to 15th centuries, the Byzantine Empire (330-1453) has had a fair share of great emperors and some terribly awful ones too. This video will discuss 10 emperors who I think are the worst in Byzantine history. To qualify for this video, the emperors have to come from the time period from 330 with the founding of Constantinople as the new capital of the Roman Empire to the Fall of Constantinople to the Ottomans in 1453. Some of my choices here for emperors may turn out to be very surprising to you viewers! Therefore I will not spoil anything about my top 10 Byzantine emperor choices by putting a list below. Instead, you can guess their names by looking at the illustrations 10 emperors at the thumbnail!

I'd take out Isaac II and put John VI or Constantine VIII in instead. Alexios III is probably the worst among all Roman emperors.

another great video, your channel really deserves more attention!i dont know why everyone hates andronikos 2 so much, he brought some stability and put a lot of effort to keep the crumbling empire together while facing so many internal and external problems

Byzantium: Those Catalans backstabbed me even after helping me to stop those Turks!

Spain: That's rough, buddy.

Hey, could you do a ranking of all of the Byzantine emperors named Constantine? Which is the best Constantine and which Constantine is the worst?

We can't forget John VI. He started a civil war to take power to usurp John V Palailogos. As a result, the Serbians took all of Macedonia. His dependence on the Turks gave Orhan the dominance over the Byzantines. Then he poorly handled the Black Death, which devastated Constantinople beyond repair. His usurpation made him deeply unpopular with the pro-Palailogan supporters. His pathetic attempt at pleasing both factions by skipping over his son in favor of John V (which would certainly have angered his son) led to deep distrust in the Empire, causing ANOTHER civil war, where John VI's Ottoman allies not only sacked Thrace, but acquired Gallipoli, their first European lands.
He deserves at least a (dis)Honorable Mention.
