To me this is the best guitar riff Josh has done so far with the Chili Peppers.

How did Dance Dance Dance make the album and this didn't? This is one of the best recorded pieces I've heard from Josh so far. Can't wait to hear what he has in store for the next album.

Unpopular opinion here, I am a huge fan of john's style while he was with the chili's and I understand why a lot of people miss his sound in the band. But think about it the second time he left wasn't because of any problems with the band he had like the first time, he literally just felt it was time to move on. Which I think is very smart because he knew he'd had an amazing run with them already and bands generally should always be developing their sound and the introduction of a new guitarist really allowed for that. I know many people much prefer john's style and really don't appreciate josh enough, but tbh i'm glad that john left the band when he did, we have multiple amazing albums with him and now we have these new different sounding albums coming out with josh's style, that I REALLY like, I personally think his guitar style is really cool and his backing vocals are amazing too. This would never have happened with john still in the band, so I think it's a smart move on his part to allow the band to move into this new era. A band can't sound the same over multiple decades guys :p.

I would kill to just sit down and talk with Anthony. He has such soul but yet a great sense of humor. The rest of the band does too. They got me through some really rough times and I like to thank them for that.

I wasn't too sure about this song at first but the more I listen to it the more it's becoming an absolute favorite. Great guitar tone indeed, and this is coming from a huge Frusciante fan.

Holy shit, that line is fantastic. It took me a few listens to catch the double meaning. If their next album is of half the quality these tracks have been, I'll be one pleased consumer.

I've asked the same question to myself about a number of Chili's B-Sides - the fact that a lot of their B-Sides are every bit as good as the album songs consistently despite 3 different people on lead guitar just shows their class!

Also gives a great reason to buy their singles because you're most often going to get 2 great songs for the price of 1.
