Dude, this one of the most directional speakers of all time.  That one outward teeter has a bad case of crispiness.  Its bass line is fair, but there is so much better out there in the bookshelf class.Try the JBL Arena 130 for $300, a great sounding speaker, sure it needs a subwoofer, both speakers do.  The waveguide dispersion lens, lends to crystal clear highs and midranges, for very little money.
