The Waterbury Village Historic District encompasses most of the central commercial and residential area of Waterbury, Vermont. Located along United States Route 2 and Stowe Street south of Thatcher Branch of the Winooski River, the district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Waterbury is home to Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, whose factory tours have become Vermont's most popular tourist attraction. Other local favorites include Cold Hollow Cider Mill and Prohibition Pig. And the historic downtown (Waterbury Village Historic District) includes many other great independent shops, restaurants, and artist studios.

Glad to see the recovery that Waterbury has made. Back in the early 70s, it was not quite so quant.

May I ask why there are two cities named Waterbury in the States? One is here, the other one is in Connecticut. I'm just wondering ( I'm not American obviously )
