So US can manipulate oil prices by releasing their SPR and reducing the revenues of petrostates but OPEC cant cut back oil supply??

So Saudi Arabia must obey the USA? Saudi Arabia has no right to act in their own interest? This is another example of the USA's rules based order?

MISCALCULATION - America thought that by smashing Russia's oil market, its economy will eventually collapse. The Saudis then on the other side would be ready to fill up the gap by pumping more oil to the market and the world will be happy. However, the Saudis already have the feeling that when the time comes, America will treat them worse than Russia. Therefore, they make the calculation to stick with Russia for now and play the game.

The response of the OPEC countries to the US decision 1 - Stop selling oil in dollars 2 - Withdrawing investments 3 - Stopping dealing with American companies 4 - Stopping the purchase of American weapons 4 - Reducing imports from America for all goods and replacing them from any other country 4 - Stopping intelligence cooperation 5 - Creating Any decision that harms America's interests?

As Canada and the US are not part of OPEC they should 100% ban the export of oil. Gasoline Prices would plummet in these countries as the supply would exceed demand BUT they won't Too many politicians are in the pockets of big oil.

How stupid are these politicians? US$ as reserve currency is greatest advantage US has. Dollar reserve currency because it's what oil is traded in, will OPEC not start taking oil payments in other currencies if US sanctions them? How is refusing to export oil on US part not worse than cutting production on OPEC part?

The old "those evil big oil companies" spiel. Why haven't we heard the same accusation when it comes to college tuition? Colleges make oil companies look like amateurs when it comes to price gouging.

They realy need to think of the consequences they may find themselves in the future, not next week, next month but years ahead with these decisions.
Cutting off your toe to relieve the pain of an ingrown toe nail is not the answer.

Raise prices on weapons systems, or just cancel outstanding orders. Raise prices on the refined petroleum products they import.

OPEC acting like these international laws that prevent countries from taking their oil is going to protect them if the the world is starving for oil.

I am so happy for China! They will now be the #1 superpower and player in the Middle East. Saudis will definitely start selling their oil in the Yuan. Many oil exporting nations like Venezuela, Iran, UAE, Iraq, and Libya will follow. Russia is already doing so, along with their own currency. Bravo and congratulations China! I wish the PRC nothing but success!
