The impact of the Covid-19 crisis on multilateralism and the International Geneva
As epitomized by the difficulties met by WHO to provide an effective global response, the COVID-19 crisis is affecting the fabric of multilateralism and global governance. By hosting more than 30 International organizations, hundreds of NGO’s, and thousands of meetings and conferences on a yearly-basis, Geneva constitutes a central hub of global governance. This webinar will feature presentations of several key actors analyzing the current challenges which is facing International Geneva both at the strategic and operational levels. Is Geneva’s multilateral ecosystem in danger? Can the current technological solutions provide a reliable solution for the numerous international meeting normally held in Geneva? How will evolve diplomatic and multilateral practices if they stop relying primarily on human interactions?
