E.ON joins with Quinbrook to invest in its largest battery storage project | E.ON UK

E.ON and Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners are jointly investing in a large-scale battery storage project for the UK, an important recognition of the enormous potential for battery solutions in the UK.

Two large-scale storage facilities, each with a capacity of 230 megawatt-hours and an output of 115 megawatts, will be built on the site of the former Uskmouth coal-fired power station in Newport, south Wales.

The creation of 130 new local jobs means we’re able to make a real positive impact to the area as well as helping the drive towards the UK’s net zero targets.
