I love the Aussie WK's response, too -- Rod Marsh was truly a proper sportsman, protesting his captain's decision and making a point of apologizing to the NZ batsmen afterwards.

Kudos to Richie Benaud for criticising members of the team he used to captain himself. This weekend's ball-tampering incident by the Australians in South Africa deserves a similar rebuke.

Richie Benaud never called it any less that straight down the middle, if he saw Australia doing something he didn't approve of, he'd make his feelings very clear. Class act and commentary standard bearer, he's missed everyehere the game is played.
