How to Fix Greyed Out Files and Folders on Mac OS

To fix greyed out .jpg files for example, you need the xattr command. Xattr is part of X-code Tools.

next go to Downloads at the bottom of page and choose the releases. You need to enter your Apple ID.

Thanks, it helped. 🙏 But unfortunately, some of the files were showing 0 sizes which can't be helped. I don't know why macOS does it. Never faced such issues with Windows and Linux.

Would this possibly explain why I can not select video reviews that are mp4 files on my Mac for upload to Amazon because they are grayed out? But they are not grayed out except when they appear in the upload file window that I navigate to in order to select a file for upload, such as an Amazon video review upload.

How do you get to that terminal in xcode? Mine just shows "get started with playground" and "create a new xcode project".
Neither are terminals. I'm I have a greyed out folder that has a bunch of my files I can't get into.

short cut..  if you want to delete them.. make new folder, move good files to that folder then delete the one with greyed out files... DONE!
