Slipknot - 'Duality' (Bass Cover)

*I posted this video a couple of days ahead of plan due to the unforeseen passing of the great Joey Jordison*

It is always appreciated when an artist is authentic at what they do. Joey was a true artist. RIP Joey Jordison and Paul Gray… gone way too soon!

This album is the one that got me hooked into Slipknot. Duality in particular is a song that grooves and maintains the aggressive/percussive sound we come to love from these masked musicians.

I remember since we were in high school Joey was his favorite drummer of all time and it made me think of him hard today after hearing the sad news. Paul was reason I picked up bass, hearing Joey died just crushed me. At least they can jam together in peace now. Sick cover as always, that FNA really has a interesting tone compared to other Ws :)

One of my favorite songs from them. I love the bass for this song. And funny thing is that, if you remove other instruments, and leave bass and drums, then it became a freaking jazz! How is that for cool?

Recuerdo que cuando tenia unos 15 años yo estaba empezando mi viaje por el metal y mi hermano menor (12 años) le gustaba el rap/hip hop, pero a el le gustaba tanto slipknot que un día me pidio que le enseñara a tocar esta canción, así que le afine el bajo y le enseñe la base mientras yo tocaba la guitarra, llego un momento donde se frusto y lo que hicimos fue headbangear juntos durante todo duality mientras fingiamos ser slipknot... Joey era de mis músicos y personas favoritas, recuerdo estar obsesionado con su estetica y me gustaba ir a cybers a ver sus videos, entrevistas y especialmente buscar todo lo referente a murderdolls... en una entrevista dijo que el metal le salvo la vida y yo nunca pude decirle las muchas veces que él me salvo, gracias Joey. Gracias Kello, tienes uno de los mejores sonidos de todo Youtube.
