These refs also placed the ball two yards back from where the interception was before this play

Michigan fan here. I was at the game and all the TCU fans around me were scratching their heads that this was overturned. Both fan bases kept looking at each other sheepishly throughout this game, because the referees were truly fucking atrocious for both teams.

He was short when he first touched it, but he did not have possession. When he did get possession, he was in the end zone.

I was pulling for TCU, but that’s a touchdown all day, no control until he’s in the end zone.

I think that there should be more people involved when making such an important decision

First of all, they marked the int that led to this on the wrong 49 yd line

The refs jobbed Michigan on 4 big plays...but the 2 biggest were the touchdown take away and the no call on the targeting at the end of the game... but Michigan shot themselves in the foot on dumb play calling and gambles when they didn't need to

Huge Bama fan since the Gene Stallings era so didn't really have a dog in this race, just love good college football... but this was definitely a touchdown. 💯

Michigan should’ve gotten the continuation into the end zone. The ball wasn’t secured until after he crossed the goal line and he wasn’t out of bounds so the TD should’ve counted. Everybody and their brother knows it was a screw job on that play.

That's a touchdown any day of the week and at all levels of football from Little League to Pro football

Yes reason is he never had possession until he was in the end-zone, I will always remember this play and the refs were horrible during this game. Once they said he was down at the one and then next play Michigan fumbled the ball and TCU recovered. I was really pissed off 😡.

Yes, he did not have possession at first when landing on his shin. As he rolled onto his ass he had full possession of the ball while in the endzone

I wonder how much they made from taking the touchdown away haters like that should not be referees

As a tcu fan I hate that it wasn't called a TD. BUT I'm ok with it knowing they got the ball with 4 tries half a yard from the goal line with what everyone said one of if not the best offensive line in all college football.

This was a touchdown, which SEC officials took away, and it wasn’t the only bad call! TCU also committed a clear targeting violation with a helmet to the back of Colston Loveland’s head. Officials reviewed it, and said there was no targeting, even though, it was textbook targeting! The SEC refs screwed Michigan, period!

If NCAA would just use the down by contact rule this wouldn't even be a debate

It’s not a touchdown he’s down as soon as he has possession and his knee butt or elbow is down He is down at the half yard line
