National Geographic wildlife documentaries from the 1960s up until the late 1980s were greatly respected. They were filled with lots of information, professionally narrated, and didn't need sound effects, dramatic music, flashing graphics, fake drama, or editing cuts every 5 seconds. Now they are all geared to appeal to 7 year olds and those with little mental capacity.
