Ready, Set, Go! Tiny Arcade New Rally-X is a fast-paced, maze driving game where you must reach 10 flags in each stage before running out of fuel and without running into enemy vehicles, boulders and other hazards! The flags can earn you extra points, keep you alive and if you’re lucky, give you a full refuel! As long as you have plenty of fuel left in your tank, use the smokescreen attack to take care of enemies that come too close! Plays just like the full-size version.

I’m just a fan of Rally-X in general! It’s tough to make a video game that entertains in seconds and that’s exactly what Rally-X does. Would have to agree that the tiny screen makes it a tougher sell for me specifically because the tiny mini map. Thank you for the review!

Very nice video Jon! I have Burgertime, Q*bert, and Frogger Tiny Arcades and love playing them. Thanks again for all your reviews on these awesome little machines....because without them, I likely wouldn't have tried them out. And thanks also passing along the tip to not power off to save high scores. I have Q*bert in the Micro Arcade and the same trick works to save high scores! Great job as always with the channel Jon!!!

I have noticed that with the tiny arcades that you review you always turn them off to check the save of the high score, but for it to save correctly you have to wait for it to turn itself off, that's written in the manual, haha

Always wondered if Rally X was meant to be pronounced, Rally Cross originally. It would make more sense.

But it's another game I never knew about until Namco Museum on the PS1. Loved the game though, even if it is just Pac-Man in a buggy.

I listened carefully after you pointed out the lack of the explosion sound the first time around, and then I heard it the last two times. So it's there, but very faint. It almost sounded like the mono speaker was struggling to handle the BGM for the game as well as the sound effects.

Never saw these around, probably would've gotten one back in 2019... wonder why they didn't use the steering wheel control like they provided for Pole Position?? I bet with some work, it could be modded maybe if that joystick is able to be removed.

There is a zoomed in Pac-Man that scrolls. It's the Gameboy version (you can select to make it full-screen)

I get that they're small, low budget products, but I just couldn't play Rally-X this way. It's too damn compromised on this hardware... and I used to play Radar Rat Race on the VIC-20!

What's funny (from what I heard) is Namco was apparently way more confident with Rally-X than they were with Pac-Man, at least when the two games were in development. Namco thought Rally-X would be more successful than Pac-Man.
How wrong they were lol.
