Seems more like China should get endless money. USA should get random budget cuts and cancellations every four years. Russia should get immunity to cold waves once you start farming potatoes on Mars from "Martian vodka effect".

I've played planet base a million times. That and FTL are the games I always come back to and while you "win" by there being nothing else to do it works bug free. And yeah, keeps me coming back more than any of the hundreds of other games I own. You put me off a bit with this though... Hmm.

Planetbase is more fun. Thought this game is just a rip-off of Planetbase. It looks way too much like it. So much so that I thought it was a mod for Planetbase.

I remember playing a game called Outpost many years ago. You basically picked a random star and travel there to find out the planet is nothing like what is identified and half of your colony breaks away on its own - taking half of your resources. I liked playing it but, sometimes, the waiting around for research and construction was quite boring and the random events (asteroid strikes, solar flares would end a game rather abruptly. I saw a magazine article later that year saying that Outpost was reviewed as the worst game of the year. So much for $49.99.

The challenges for terraformation of mars is the gravity is not enough the magnetosphere is non existent fix one there will be more. A massive atmospheric shell like in space balls is very much the way a planet like mars would need to be terraformed with. You would be able to retain 100% of the gases to thicken the atmosphere you would not need to force the gravity to keep the water and o2 on mars the shell could take the place of the magnetosphere.

I refuse to play it as anything less than normal. So far no less than Russians, game is really easy, if u go at less than it will broke the gameplay by a lot, since everything is a chore.
Its kind a good game, your review is spot On.

Take On Mars would be an awesome game if it had better development. Should try that sometime when it's on sale.
