LIBERTY FANFARE by John Williams - Score Reduction

One of my favorite of John Williams patriotic works which was written especially for the rededication of the Statue of Liberty in the 80's. I first heard this when I was a kid and bought a Boston Pops CD of John Williams' music and I was blown away, literally by the opening D major chord in the brass (I had my headphones on and the volume was full blast)

All of these projects take a considerable amount of work so to make sure I can frequently upload new videos the patronage makes it worth the time and effort.

This is definitely a great, opening statement with the brass, and the major planing. The bells have such a jarring, contrary, and unexpected twist, definitely catching my attention. it's a great way to shift from triumph and euphoria of the reveal of the new statue of liberty, to taking a step back, and with the A theme, going back in time to France, when Liberty herself was in the process of being built, and the slow ascension into glory.

In regards to those bells, it makes me wonder if that was a duff of the cap to the bells of Notre Dame church, a quick hint of the very famous French landmark.

This is some geniously done music! We can feel, just by listening, ourselves travel through an epic landscape and the marvels of movies!

I notice in the score, based on the opening tempo of 84 BPM, in measure 5, should the time signature change to 3/4, or should the tempo increase. I did not see any indication of this, so it is a bit confusing. Regardless, I love your analysis.
