I usually hang the guitar up, stand across the room with my back to it, put the ferrule on a dart and toss them over my shoulder. I always seem to get all of them in first time - is that not normal?

My drill press has this thing called an adjustable chuck. I simply close the jaws until they match the diameter of the lip of the ferrule, and I use it like an arbor press to press the ferrules in. Isn't that just amazing? ...

I've never once found it "tricky" to install ferrules. A dowel and a dead blow hammer work just fine for me.

It looked pretty useful to me. I used to watch a show on refinishing furniture. This is mighty cool too. I doubt I will ever use the knowledge that your videos provide, but I enjoy watching your expertise at work.

Just tried installing ferrules with a soldering iron like many others have shown online. All the paint around the holes burned and they don't all sit at the same level. Don't make the same mistake I did.

I had one these somehow fall out of my mim Tele, and for life of me couldn’t find it anywhere on the floor. So I ordered some replacements from reverb, I’m hoping they fit, but have no idea till they get here. Do I just hammer it in? I don’t have drill press. They suppose to be for original fender tele

I had one of mine fall out of my Damien 6 body. It was the high e string ferrule. Should I glue it in? And does anyone know if there are specific ones I should use for Schecter?

So why is it $15? You could use your drill press, a file and some scrap metal rod recycled from literally ANYWHERE to make your own in about 5 minutes. If you have a use for one of these tools, chances are you have the know how and skills to make your own.

I've installed hundreds and never used anything but my small nylon hammer. Never had even the slightest problem.

if you want professional results use professional tools.if you have a lathe you can make one, you could make one with two pieces and screw it together or solder or interference fit.do a half assed job and your work will look half assed..
