I am a carpenter and builder, I have been using this planer for about 4 years, I like the ability to direct the chips each side, the planer will take a 1.6 mm pass in pine but ma ke sure you keep blades sharp .It is not as strong as a Makita, Milwaukee or Dewalt but will do a good job .

How do you know when you take it off enough? After the first pass the second pass? Will it just stop planing/making contact with the wood if you reach the desired measurement? Is there a feeling that it's not making contact?

i've heard other reviews saying that the max depth is 0.4mm, but i guess that's referring to the previous model (50mm width) ..?

Where can I buy one of these? This is not listed on the Aussie wed site or at Bunnings.

DO NOT PUT MUSIC NOISE INTO A DIY DEMO TOUR COOKING OR ANIMAL VIDEO. RUINS CONTENT, DROWNS VOICE, HURTS EARS, AND IS INSANELY IRRITATING TO VIEWER.

Music is the bane of any demo videos. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ADD MUSIC TO ANYTHING!!!! We come here united in our common goal of learning about a particular tool use. We do not all share in the level of noise you inflicted on us, nor your choice of noise. That is a choice I did not make but was forced to hear. Do you understand why music is a bad idea? To some its great. To others is a racket that irritates them.

You forgot to tell people how you should begin and end the planing without sloping the wood on ends. At the end, you take off upwards to avoid gouging out a downward slope. Ditto for front end. Shabby video with blaring music. You lost a golden opportunity to make a great video.
