My 72 had the trim, but white painted top instead of vinyl. Still has rusty windshield/ rear glass channels

Personally never liked vinyl, so it's good move in my book

Define one in that good a shape underneath the vinyl is absolutely awesome it's a rare thing just means that some of the people that owned it before use definitely cared about the car

I’m personally a fan of vinyl tops, but this car looks better without it for sure

Don't trim off the excess with a razor blade. It scratches thru the paint below the belt molding to create paths for rust

What solvent is best for getting tape sticky off the paint without damaging the paint?

Great Chevy. Love those cars but still top should go to luxury cars like a Lebaron 1984 or a caddy Fleetwood 1980

The top worked because the roof is in decent shape instead of being roached

What model, my grandpa had a 68 chevelle that was white, with a vinyl top, and black parts on the bottom, and I think it had a 496 long block (whatever the biggest engine Chevy made for them was in it)

So you're telling me that there's a beautiful hard top underneath these vinyl tops? That's probably why some vinyl tops I've seen are completely rotted underneath, oh god that's tragic! It probably traps moisture and debris under the vinyl until it eats away at the original body...

Hey man it’s your car but personally it looked so much better with the top on it
