I was a manager at a bank. I called my husband one day while at work and told him I wanted to be a SAHM, we'd have conversations about the idea before, but I called him and said "I want that." He said "If you think we can make it work, do it, I have your back" .... best decision of our lives

I have a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice, I chose to stay home for the past 13 yrs, I can’t tell ya enough how many people talk shit on me and when confronted, I get the “oh, I think it’s great your home” I’m literally queen of the castle, I don’t sit around and be lazy, my home is is clean, kids are cared for, husband is fed awesome home meals, he praises me, I go through what the working mom goes through: sometimes under appreciated, too exhausted, overwhelmed, need a vacation, etc…yet, I also go through: I feel so blessed, this is great. Thank you my love for laboring for us

My granddaughter just said that same exact thing the other day. She would like to stay home & raise children, chickens, have a garden & cook. She is 28 & beautiful.

My wife of 46 years passed away two years ago and never had to go to a job. She stayed home and took care of our 5 kids and myself. Now i go on with her in my memories. We made many wonderful memories.

There was a point in my life in my mid 20's i was able to provide more than enough. My wife stayed home. I got into a really bad car accident one morning on my way to work. It ruined my back. I was out of work for almost a year. My wife had to get a job and peovide for us. 10 years later...we own a successful commercial cleaning company. We work less than 20 hours a week and profit soooo much...not only monetary..but we also have taken back our time and can create our own schedules daily....we have gained the MOST VALUABLE asset in our lives....and that is our TIME!

One of the best days of our lives was when my wife came home and asked “what do you think if I quit my job the be a SAHM?”. We’d talked about it before the baby came and I always said “I’ll support your decision” I was probably a week out myself from asking it too. 25 years later she’s got the career she wants after raising our kids.

I do feel this way and I’ve been a housewife for 17 years and raising 4 children BUT you have to pick your husband wisely. Because if he’s lazy, abusive or narcissistic then you will nothing to fall back on if you are abandoned. It’s worked out well for me and my husband because we respect each other and we do have a crossover in our roles. He gets involved with the children when he is not working and when I’ve been unwell or been feeding a tiny baby I would say he has done more than his share. I have 2 daughters and 2 sons. I want my daughters to also have an education so if they don’t find a good partner they still have the option to provide for themselves.
