Eteri has officially blacklisted ex-daughter Evgenia. Russian judge was one of only two judges to give Evgenia a -1 GOE on her flutz. I am SHOOK!!

What Rafael Arutyunyan said is right, it takes time to understand another coach's approach. People who were so bent on having a miracle happen in less than 6 months need to cut her and Brian some slack, at least she's having much more fun now.

The Russian judge just proved how Russian judges become biased when the Russian skater's coach is also Russian. Wait till they actually award evgenia negative GOE for a well executed element.

True colors are shining through. Now she is being judged a bit more fairly but the shade of the Russians though! I can't!

Meanwhile I am proud of her. I see a lot of improvement in her footwork already. She has ways to go, but she is to be commended. I think she is trying to work work on her jumping. The flutz is there but I can see she was kinda trying not to.

I don't think this music suits her, she looks lifeless, possibly tired. Maybe it's just the beginning of the season and she's gonna get there, but also maybe she doesn't have the energy and speed to dance to jazz. Also her body isn't (and can't be) very muscular so maybe she can't be very powerful and explosive even if she _felt_ the beat.
I don't know what the problem may be, but I don't understand why abruptly switching from over dramatic delicate russian pantomime to jazz for her most delicate season seemed like a smart choice.

I think she has to improve her skating sktill more to skate smoothly and speedily.
Music is nice and her style is fine but she needs to move quickly and lightly :)
It's just the beginning of season so I hope she makes this program her own eventually.

To perform a program that is not yet complete takes a lot courage. I believe team Orser is still testing the waters here. For all of you saying she has not improved, I believed she did. She said on her first day at Cricket, she cried because of the difficulty of the training. If its not difficult, it means there is nothing left to learn for her. This is a sign she is growing. She is finding herself as a skater and Im happy that Team Orser is not making a second Kim Yuna. They are making a real Evgenia Medvedeva.

Even though she has edge problems, at-least she is not doing full-blade on the take-off. I am very happy that she is getting judged fairly.

Guys, look at her posture, her core seems to have become much stronger. Can't you see? She's gonna be really good - if she seems unsure now, it's because sometimes cleaning up involves making a big mess in the process. Waiting for her NEXT season. And the NEXT after that. Anyway, obviously she's on a personal journey and it's a joy to see the process.

Russian Fed support and pay for Evgenia's living and training in Canada under expensive Brian Orser. She's still their favorite.
tho maybe Trusova can change that the next year.

I think rather than going straight to the season with a new coach Evgenia should have taken a season off and focus on developing her skating. I know it is hard for skaters to make a comeback and especially you have Eteri's curses on your neck but i just think it would have been wiser.

Her tanos improved, her fingers are actually pointing upwards; no longer a bent arm held above her forehead. Her Lutz looks better too, still not an outside edge but her legs look closer together and with less of an 'A' shape, so it doesn't look as deep of an inside edge as before. Why do I have an itch on my back like "had she skated this program the exact same way with Eteri she would have won"? Is the ISU no longer inflating her scores? It's so weird seeing it happen.

Btw, y'all see Bradie's FS? It's so ugly, like what was with those music cuts? They were so awkwardly placed and the choreo with her lifting her dress at the beginning, and the lunge forward with her hands clasped in front of her... What in the world was that? Not to mention the Evgenia-esque (circa Ofeteri era) heartbeat sounds and the miming movement she does where she gets on her knee in the latter part of the program... Issa no from me dawg. Her SP is much better but her arms flail around like she's fighting an imaginary ghost, and the beginning pose where she looks like she's reading a book (again giving me war flashbacks to Ofeteri's choreography).
