Brilliant, with many shades of colour. Restrained and quiet at times, but one can sense the power there in. The cellos come in beautifully at 1:42 . A very perceptive conductor, but what about the BPO? It's always outstanding.

Beethoven - take a poll on the street anywhere and ask, “Name a Classical composer?” Who is mentioned most?
What a shame that the celebration for the 250th anniversary of his birth fell in 2020 when every concert hall on Earth was shutdown.
