Most Exhausting Player. USTA 5.0 Division 1 tennis
This video is about tennis. Not pickleball! The glorious game of tennis in this channel brings a Davis Cup player who nearly meets his match in the legendary MEP who almost clobbers him, emphasis on "clobbers". Watch it.

That's really just it. Where you'd see his usual club-level opponents reaching down for his low balls or trying to destroy the no-pace shots and missing horribly, Michael was in position to hit them normally, stepping into the court and using his footwork, and refusing to get drawn into extended rallies down the middle. Of course, it also helped that he had high-level form and spin, allowing him to hit sharp angles at will. Pretty sure he'd drop a double-bagel on any of the TennisTroll regulars.

I expected this result. But I wasn't expecting the amount of returns MEP made were astonishing. Bravo to that ❤

Davis Cup guy is truly skilled. And even though it was a double bagel, it was closer than a lot of double bagels. Some real close games. Like Davis Cup player said it was still exhausting, and he really had to focus in to handle the lack of pace, low slices, and feathery touch of MEP.

Great to see MEP back on camera again My favorite player on YOUTUBE Loved the line about single handedly caused the biggest migration to pickleball Former D1 player bit over MEP head though

Great to see MEP again. Even when he was 6-0 5-0 down I was expecting him to stage a comeback. Not this time sadly.😢

I think that MEP did an amazing job of not only competently returning the serves but also to keep on going. If MEP works on his fitness, tennis related fitness primarily, like footwork drills, cone drills, movement drills, he can become a formidable opponent. Because he can send the ball back if he reaches it. In tennis, that is all that matters, send the ball back.

Honestly amazing content first of all Tennis Troll Channel...really great to see you back with some awesome tennis content. You've outdone yourself.

The problem with 4.0 Keyboard warriors trashing MEP and claiming they would easily beat him is they think they play like Davis Cup. If they did they wouldn't be a 4.0.

Another fantastic TennisTroll production. Insightful commentary. Which balls were used? Which balls are preferred by MEP? Both players are highly skilled at their own level and of course there was a major gap between a pro and an amateur. MEP did great to get the points that he could get from a flawless performance from DC. DC was very humble despite the score. A mark of a great champion. Two great champions in their own right.

Can I have some lox and cream cheese with those bagels?
That statuesque follow-thru on MEP's serve is nothing short of the highest level ballet. 09:13

Davis Cup guy was returning like David Nalbandian lol. Looks amazing really. He was taking it easy on MEP by not using the full potential of his serve. Anyway, nice to see MEP. I still think of this guy when I play against a player like him. I need to remember to stay within myself and hit big targets, move them and come in like Ferrer sinking his teeth! Cheers

and THIS is how you beat MEP. The "pro" doesn't have any big shots or a big serve but he hits consistent, deep topspin shots and moves the ball around well. solid 5.0 player

The exhausted is now tired. That was so satisfying and delicious. Long time coming.

Welcome back, Ben. We missed you! When one guy starts playing at 32, and is self taught, and the other guy has been playing since childhood, and has world-class training, we can predict the results. But you had your chances to steal a game or two. Ben's high 4.5 rating puts him among the top 10% of players nationally....not bad for a guy in his mid-40s who never played until he was 32 and taught himself how to play. Notice that the Dais Cup player had Ben's shots...an excellent drop shot, a great defensive lob, etc.

Actually for the conditions to favor MEP it should be 90+ degrees and 70+ % humidity.

Sometimes, I think people overemphasize tactics when they play players like MEP. People often suggest that if you do this or do that against “pushers” you’ll win for sure, not taking into account their own execution skills.

But yeah, execution is no less important than tactics. I see that as long as a player is at higher level than MEP, he’ll beat MEP, it’s simple as that. If you lose to someone like MEP, no matter which tactic you try, maybe it’s time to conclude that you are just not as good as your opponent, lol. Or maybe your opponent is a bad matchup for you.
