I visited Europe the last few years and I saw a bunch of VW ID3's. We only have the ID4 here. I would love to have a Golf GTI sized EV. Speaking for myself, I would say there will be a vast difference in reliability between ICE vehicles and EV's. First....no transmission to break or wear out. (However some EV's like the Porsche Taycan do have a minimal transmission system) Ev's use industrial strength electric motors, and WAY LESS moving parts to deal with. Personally I own a Cadillac ELR Sport, which is a hybrid, but the 4 cylinder only powers the generator so it's basically an EV. They still do quirky things like the time it just stopped in an intersection without warning, and later on I was told a module failed on me. It will take some time for them to work out all the bugs, but they will get there. There is a reason that the GREAT percentage of EV drivers say their next car will also be a EV.
