As I often say about going to see the Stones despite their age, “if you were told you could only see Willie Mays play during his time with the Mets, you’d still go because the flashes of greatness would still shine through on occasion.” Same for the Stones! #RIPCharlieWatts

Yea Mike saw the Stones in Miami right after the show you saw, and they were excellent. Every band no matter age has off nights on tour. I have seen the Stones 20 times going back to 1989 and I put that show right up there with the best. After the show everyone was just looking at each other like wow that was incredible. Still can not believe it was Charlie Watts last show. I think all of us in the Stones family are shocked.

I love your videos Mike. I love your recommendations. The "new arrivals" videos are my favorite. I've ordered from you a couple times. You help make vinyl collecting fun again. In case you care... Chvrches is simply pronounced as Churches. They just played with the spelling. I look forward to all of your videos. Thank you.

Ascenseur pour l'échafaud (Elevator to the Gallows) is a great movie with an obviously great soundtrack. Well worth a watch.

Mike, I just ordered that Sarah Vaughan album from you! I have about 110 Sarah Vaughan albums in my Vinyl Collection so I had to get that 1969 Live one!! Thank you so much! Northern New Jersey loves you :)

When Ascension, the Miles soundtrack was first issued, most of us know it had a nice reverb that fit the music perfectly. THen when the CD's came out, the reverb was gone. Big mistake. Does this LP have the reverb back in?

HooDoo Man Blues is insanely good. Buddy Guy and Junior Wells play perfectly off of each other. My copy had 2 perfect looking records with no surface noise.

Just paid $300 for that Japanese Chet Baker Memories NM. It’s the arguably him at his very best, at the very end. It has almost blue on it which is an Elvis Costello track that is essentially the best thing he ever recorded. Im also sick to my stomach that my “grail” just got repressed and can be gotten for $52. At a complete loss for words really. Welcome to collecting records I guess.

I’ve often said the same thing about the Stones. I’ve seen countless bands. NONE of them touch the Stones live. I think I’ve seen them 6 or 7 times and literally all of those shows are my top 6 or 7 shows I’ve seen ever.

You mentioned Speakers Corner only cut from analogue components. Ironically, you said it straight after showing the Alan Parsons record, which they say on their website is the ONLY item in their entire catalogue that is mastered from a digital source.

Hey mike been watching your channel last 6 months and man you are very educational and informative on what to look for in vinyls and what things should sound like. What’s your take on the new Beatles 4 LP box set coming out in October I believe?

I got to see the Stones once on the Steel Wheels tour and it was easily a top 5 show I've ever been to. And I've been to a :)

I first saw the Stones in ‘94 on the Voodoo Lounge Tour, and I’ve seen them about 6 more times since. Always a great time. The ‘82 Tattoo You tour rivals anything live musically one can come up with, for me. I think they are the greatest rock and roll band ever. I saw Prince a couple of times, fantastic shows, I think he’s one of the greatest musicians ever. And I’ve seen Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band several times in person, along with countless times via concert film. In my opinion, Bruce and E Street are the greatest live show that’s ever been. But you gotta like Bruce’s music to even start that conversation. The Who ‘89 show I saw was a blast. Anyway, just my subjective opinions. Appreciate the discussion, great vid. RIP, Charlie. 🙏🏽

I saw the VoodoLounge tour and Bridges To Babylon in Nashville when I was 16 and 19. I would have gone to more but the ticket prices got crazy and the set lists were always basically the same. Love them though. Great drummer

Hey Mike you mentioned somewhere that you are still expecting to be supplied with Blue Note Classic Series "Moanin" (and I guess the same applies to "Something Else"). I have been waiting for a both these, pre-ordered with another reseller. I was starting to think they were going to be a no-show and I missed my chance to get these records. Do you think there is still reason to hold out hope?... Another question... You see these cheap re-issues on labels like Wax Time and Groove Replica. Do you know anything about these labels?

The two Chet Baker Jpn imports are no-brainers, get 'em while the gettin's good.

Good to see you carrying a Sahel Sounds release. You should check out Wau Wau Collectif on that label.
