Did you know her books didn’t have her name on them till after her death. And she published her first novel with a sticker on the front that said ‘By a Lady’

As much as I'm not crazy about this trend, this one...this one warms my heart.

Oh Jane! If only she could see what impact her books made on society and how well they have done!

She would've loved to hear how cherished her books are, she may have never had her true love but we truly love her

As a guy who grew up watching the TV show of pride and prejudice, you realise how healthy it is compared to most romantic stories. Both have to grow and let go of their pride, neither are prefect.

This is also cool because Jane Austen was convinced that her novels were so "of the time" (like so deeply rooted in the specific culture happening at that time and place) that she thought there was no way they would garner much interest with future generations or with people outside of England.

This reminds me of the Dr. Who Episode in which the Dr. took Vincent Van Gogh into a Museum in our time. And Vincent, a struggling Painter who only recieved shit back in his days, saw that people loved and admired his work. And the Dr. asked the curator of the museum on Van Gogh and he gave a beautiful speech on how magnificent and impactful and inspiring Van Gogh's Art was and is.

And I pretty much believe that Jane would react the same way. And I wonder if she would've liked the movie with Keira Knightley!?

Beautiful Video and a very good idea on how to use this trend!

As a public service, I advise anyone who is looking for "their Mr. Darcy" to seek out and listen to the song "Oh Mr Darcy" by the band The Doubleclicks. Not because it's inherently a bad idea, it just points out a common trap that a lot of young women fall into on their search, and provides advice on how to avoid it!
("If you meet a gentleman hailing from England, don't be impressed, hold on to your heart, just because a guy has a British accent does not mean he's witty or decent or smart. If a boy treats you with tasteful indifference, if he is handsome but bristly and cold, don't be intrigued just because he's ignoring you, not every asshole has a heart of gold")
