Batu Caves is one of those must see locations while travelling Southeast Asia and since Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is a major airport hub it makes it much more accessible in your travels!

Batu Caves is an incredible mix of nature and religious architecture. The temple itself is over 100 years old and includes a very steep 272 steps to the top. There are several statues of Hindu gods, lots of Hindu culture and many monkeys exploring the grounds.I recommend coming here at or near sunrise to avoid tourists and the extreme heat.
One tip for sleeping in KL is to check out the Regalia Residence. You can find rooms for $25/night with access to an infinity pool overlooking the Petronas Twin Towers. It was amazing. DM me for more info!
