I don’t know what New York is like, but people down here prefer to live by a code... No snitching/helping police. The judges are also dropping the ball by giving criminals low bail amounts when there should be no bail, ever for murderers.

Can we just make a petition for murderers just to be burned at the stake or something just really painful? like same week execution, set an example for people. It's only a pipe dream that the current day society will not allow.

People have to stop protecting murderers. It makes little sense to demand police accountability and seek none from the most sure fire means. At home and being willing to know what's wrong is how you start. Taking decisive action is next

City leaders can not do it all. If you do not have cameras. Then eyes open. If you hear something going on, look. No security companies in the area? Have cameras installed? Neighborhood watch, just watch. Buy a bulletproof vest. Try to make the area safe and get criminals caught. Do not give up your identity to criminals if you do not have to.
