I totally agree! More books does not mean better reading. When I love a book I actually want to slow down because I enjoy it. I’m glad you enjoyed your reading this month!

Love your thoughts at the beginning, 100% agree! I’ve been feeling the pressure to read as many books as possible but I’m feeling burnt out from that so I’m actually hoping to slow down a bit with my reading this spring and put less pressure on myself in general. I’ve really been wanting to read Heartless Hunter and recently bought it, can’t wait to read that duology! So glad you liked it! My favorite books from March were Blood Over Bright Haven and The Reformatory, both heavy and thick books but so so good!!

From Lynn Painter’s YA backlist, I would recommend The Do-Over! I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would, and was pleasantly surprised 😊

Rebel Witch series was on our Fantasy book club reads! They really enjoyed them both. Heartless Hunter is on my TBR. Keep reading books you enjoy!

The main character of An Ember in the Ashes also gives the same vibes as A song to drown rivers! I really am intrigued now.

I seriously enjoyed heartless Hunter and I absolutely adored, rebel witch! Both were five stars for me

Mini rant appreciated! I’ve been finding myself doing the same thing. I beat myself up because I don’t feel like I read enough or read fast enough or read as much as other people when I used to just enjoy the fact that I was reading now I feel like I have this mountain to climb to get through all my books rather than enjoying them However, long it takes

Sorry if I'm repeating myself but if you get in a reading slump, or just want a very fast paced book, I recommend Tilt by Emma Pattee. Oh, my!!! Once I started it I couldn't put it down.
Thanks for your videos. I always enjoy your reviews.

I never read contemporary fiction, and I’m surprised with how much I loved Andromeda. I appreciate how much we were expected to infer and how much was left up to interpretation.

Im so happy you reviewed A Song to Drown Rivers! I have the exact same copy and definitely need to bump it up on my TBR!

🙃Yesss, March was a "poor" reading month for me; only read 3 books. Thanks for the gentle reminder that quantity is a ridiculous pressure we dont need to place on ourselves ❤

I read one book per month.. 7 sounds too much . I am impressed 😮

I almost had a heart attack until the notice popped up. I was like ohh nooo you must read them in tandem!
I'm so relieved.

I want to reread Throne of Glass soon!! I think Heir of Fire was my favourite too, I’ve forgotten what happens in each 😅 but whichever one it is were we get lots of Manon - she was my favourite character!

I felt the same way at the end of March bc I only read 2 books :( hopefully April will be a better month!
Heartless Hunter's plot twist I didn't see coming at all with her friend. LOL and im excited to read Rebel Witch

I didn’t like Betting on You as much as Better Than The Movies either! It made me not want to read ya contemporary romance anymore 😂 but I still try every once in a while, I actually just read one called Always The Almost and it was really good.

I’m working through Throne of Glass right now so I’ve literally only read 5 books all year so far. 2025 is the year for grace and patience haha

Just two books for me, and I'm learning to be ok with that. Good news is I loved them both! The Martian, and The Snow Child.

P.S. I know you read Six of Crows without reading Shadow and Bone....I'm doing the same thing, only about 25 pages into Six of Crows and I am so confused! I hope it starts to make more sense soon.

I only read 2 in March, not sure what happened, just started Heartless Hunter few days ago already about half way through, Rebel Witch after that….then rest of TBR is The Spell Shop, A sorceress comes to call, Emily Wild’s encyclopedia of fairies, My Mothers house by Shari Franke, with the Hunger game books including newest one sprinkled in… thx for cozy book review/recs…..🫶🏻🤓🕯️📖☕️
