I met Ross a month after my work injury in July 2017 in his offices. Treated me with respect, rolled out the red carpet, listened to my story and made hiring his firm a no-brainer. My employer's insurance company was in collusion with my human resources lead, conversations I had with both persons convinced me of that. I got immediate denial of all WC doctor restrictions for work. Like Ibuprofen was supposed to help what the MRI later turned up? My HR recruiter lied to me, even told me that my restrictions looked vague to him as if he was qualified to determine the extend of my injuries.


Ross and his attorneys got me the quick Orthopaedist meets, therapy sessions up to and beyond my first scheduled surgery date in 2017. I was impressed with the doctor's spot on accessment of my injury. Maybe some of my miscellaneous information will help someone else choose Ross' firm here...


My mother, lol, told me all about the games and stresses of dealing with worker's compensation cases. It was a damn good thing my family members scolded me for trying to endure my normal work schedule after my job site accident.


I was fearful of being injured, missing my friends at work, missing hours, a regular paycheck, I had labored like alot of people at my job who have hidden injuries caused by the repititive nature of our positions. They hide it, they realize the futility of filing a claim and tried to give me diet advice on reducing inflammation, but not stretching muscles prior to walking around all day up to 6 miles a day on fresh cement. The ordeal of one type of injury, replacing shoes, interchanging them during my shift, using inserts, wrapping joints, didn't go unnoticed before I had a serious accident that forced me to go to the ER, in an event that was not my fault in the slightest.


The WC claims rep ignored my messages when I tried to switch doctors within 30 days, she prevented me from getting to that all-important visit with the Orthopaedist on their list. Then she told me that my HR people were feeling pressured by me, that I should only talk to her. She told me I had to play their game when I asked sincerely about getting my benefits started to replaced lost income after I had taken leave. Their attitude and words emailed amounted to their feeling safe that once I hired Jurewitz they were free from liability in any respect and that if they waited out the clock, I would have no recourse vs. them. Ross was hired to not go after my company but another. I consulted with two WC firms in 2017 to get action on what my own company was responsible for, of the two injuries I had.


My insurance kicked in from work, but stress and bed and home ridden had taken affect on my system. The alkaline diet, juicing and eliminating foods that I couldn't afford to eat for my blood type landed me in the hospital for 2 days. The insurance company wanted me to sign off on my medical records but I decided to get my blood work done extensively once I got on necessary meds, choosing a regular doctor, who had initially seen me and diagnosed my work injury, telling me to lay off the gym until I was healthier. I played hardball with them all since they said it was a sick game they do. I caught them at every juncture to establish the pattern of behavior, doctors were not listening, documenting properly, correctly, certain medical facilities on the WC list will delete your data from their record within 30 days. More importantly, if they write a wrong date it gives the insurance company reason to quit your claim(s) or not pay for orthotics that their doctor has asked for.


My employer's 3P insurer tried to quit on two claims because the they and the doctor didn't like what they saw on my MRIs and X-rays. I hired another attorney in addition to Ross to stop their nonsense. Heading into 2019, the WC insurance company set up two appointments for me, didn't give me a courtesy call on the first, did on the second but the appointment was cancelled on Martin Luther King Day after I showed up for it and waited for an hour. After calling the WC Disability Atty I hired, they said the insurance co. cancelled it but didn't call them or me about it. We then moved to a deposition following a hearing where I wasn't required to attend.


As of May 24, 2019, I got a snail mail package for Brian, my lawyer at Jurewitz, which he was waiting for. My Disability lawyer felt it wasn't necessary for me to review and edit my February deposition but what I was reading is actually horrifying to me, blantantly wrong, where I was mischaracterized by the court reporter who obviously wasn't listening to my answers. The whole package is full of wrongful information entered as record dating back a 25 years for accidents/claims and a lifetime where I was injured as child. I'm basically saying, don't trust a worker's comp disability attorney who claims she is trying to keep you out of jail but can't clearly see the depo is suspect and wrong. It's not just the insurance companies, it's other lawyers you may hire to rep your interests vs. WC firms.

Every time I see another inane blathering car insurance ad I am inspired to get the word out on these companies! THANKS ALLSTATE, STATE FARM, GEICO, NATIONWIDE, LIBERTY MUTUAL ET AL! Without all your stupid ads, I might forget this issue.

When they give you a unrealistic value of your vehicle . They said it’s actual value their even telling me to go through the other insurance myself without them. So I have a dodge neon that has better car replacement but they said their giving me 120 percent on the value of the neon they supposed to go up to next year but there wasn’t a 2096. Also my car was parked at a auto shop when it got hit . All I want is $2500 to get another just like mine. It’s been a month now and everytime I call him he says the same thing over and over. How long do they play these games? And the question is should I settle will I not get more.
