I´m watching this again, helping me overcome my desire to take my car on a road trip again. Looking forward to be able to do that soon. I really hope the Corona situation is over soon.

1st of August 1291, Switzerland was founded by three Swiss guys on the Rütliwiese, and so the first three cantons Uri, Schwyz and Unterwalden were founded. Actually we only know it was in the beginning of August, we don't know the exact date.
Welcome to Switzerland!

It's called the type J plug, used only in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Type C cell phone chargers usually fit, but Schuko won't. You might encounter a problem or two with Schuko on Italy as well, since the predominant plug is the type L, but usually there's a Schuko somewhere in the room.

Welcome to Switzerland! Whilst you’re here you should try and get to Interlaken/Lauterbraunnen for an amazing view. And definitely through the Furka pass for one of the most amazing roads I’ve ever been on. The model 3 is actually perfect for that road! If you’re heading down into Italy afterwards towards lake como, there are fewer chargers, epic scenery and I have crowds of people taking photos with my model 3 as there aren’t a lot of them here which is crazy

The small grapes are used for the little bottles of wine.

I would suggest always charging in a hotel that has a charger so that they see it being used. And always ask for a charging spot even if you know that there isn't one. And yes, no Schuko in Switzerland! The adapter is not particularly safe with a Schuko that actually has PE as the PE does not connect to the actual socket. So it would not work to charge a car as that would check whether there is an earth (although maybe not the Norwegian UMC due to TT, not sure).

I always bring an extension lead with me, 1 adaptor, 4x my normal socket to plug into

Every hotel I've been to in Europe (Finland, Sweden, Norway) all had a fridge! Small one, but a fridge.

There is a crowdsourced website with audio snippets for all pronounciations. In case it's missing a word you can request it and someone might pronounce it for you.
Site is called forvo.com.

Japp, 1. August is our national day ;) and our "Swiss plug" is sooo much better than the crappy EU one. It's sooo big and takes so much space. The swiss ones are just nice and small :)

Ho Bjorn, still in Switzerland tonight or tomorrow? Would be nice to meet up at a Supercharger. Regards.

Be careful when driving in Switzerland. If you exceed the speed limit by too much, the fine is proportional to your income or you can do up to 4 years jail time.

How did you not think of the outlets... 😁 We are very proud of our format, BTW it's technically superior to any other in the world!

Swiss type J sockets / plugs are actually somewhat better than SCHUKO or French style (type E and F). It is polarised, grounded, supports Europlug, has sleeved L/N pins and recessed sockets and they are much more compact as You have seen on triple socket on the wall, which would be OK only for two SCHUKO / French style sockets.

The only drawback is majority of those sockets are limited to 10 A (16 A is rare), while SCHUKO or French style can carry 10 A permanently and 16 A for short time periods
