My favorite out here in California is manzanita. It grows all over the coastal regions. It does release a lot of tannins so boil or soak it if you don’t want a dark tank.

Mopani driftwood is my favorite. It sinks and if you soak it for a week before adding it to the aquarium, doesn’t change the color of the water that much.
