This song always seemed to mean a lot to them, and you can really feel here that they were trying to transmit a message of friendship to the people of Moscow. I don't know if the Peace Festival really made any difference, but Jon believed that it would and he went out there with that hope and that intention. He once said that they were brought up to believe that the Russians were the enemy, but when he met them, he realised it wasn't true and that they were warm, caring people ☺
