Im a truck driver. One of the things i think about is how easy this crime can be done without the truck driver even knowing it. I pick up trailers all the time all over the country that i never get to see what is inside. As does every other truck driver for the most part.

Um, correct me if I am wrong, but I'm pretty sure that the statement; "over half the homicides in Hillsborough County are related to marijuana" is not factual. I don't think that's true 🤔

That goes on in every state & for every truckload that gets stopped twenty others make it thru

How does a semi make it across country with this? I drove for years and always got stopped at weight stations and DOTs inspections. Sounds kinda fishy.

Legalize all of it. Seriously. Increased tax base, school funding etc, and simultaneously eliminate drug crime and the associated violence. You can do it voters of Florida!

People who think that stopping the flow of drugs will do anything to cruve street violence are not just stupid but ignorant. Honestly it may sound backwards, but you're more likely to reduce violent crimes if you just LEGALLY allow them to buy drugs or just simply give them to addicts and let themselves take themselves out.
If that is insensitive, cry. I had my cousin jump out a 5 story apartment to go get drugs. She lived, albeit breaking everything in her body, but afterwards she still didn't get clean. Addicts will be addicts and to say that you stopped them from getting them therefore drug violence will go down, is just a silly aspiration.

I don't understand why States don't choose to legalize marijuana. It's not marijuana that's causing people to get violent. It's the process of getting the marijuana to the streets that's causing violence. If you make it hard for people to get, there's more money in it for the drug dealers. That means more motivation for drug dealers to sell marijuana. The more profit a drug dealer makes the higher chance of violence associated with marijuana. It's useless to keep marijuana illegal. It's more profitable for the State to make marijuana legal and to tax it. Why let the drug dealers make all the money and profit off of marijuana when the States can do it. Marijuana is only a gateway drug if it's sold by a street drug dealer.

I’d like the county to release the stats to justify the statement “half of hills co homicides is marijuana related”

All the more reason to END THE WAR ON DRUGS. If drug dealers are violent then make it legal and violence will subside.

End the war on drugs if you want to stop violent crime. Weird how when I go to a medical dispensary there is no violence.

Over half the murders over weed? Or was it that just most ppl in your state smoke weed and it was just there? I find that hard to believe there. Also all those murders....wouldn't happen under a decriminalization or legal system so blame yourselves

It should have been legalized a long time ago anyway.

The only thing that gets attacked when someone is stoned is the buffet...
